In Santa Monica, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. This is, has been and probably will always be the absolute best ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life on planet earth. It’s real, it’s organic and it’s really the only place I’ll get ice cream in the U.S..Everything is made from scratch. The way nature intended. The amount of reviews(especially for geographical location) is very misleading. Cookies and cream, salted caramel, mint chip, coffee and vanilla are the starting 5, hands down, no questions asked.

This isn’t ice cream. This is a religious experience disguised as dessert. From the moment that first spoonful hits your mouth, time slows down. Conversations fade. Responsibilities? Gone. It’s just you and the most absurdly perfect, silky, melt-in-your-soul ice cream ever created. The texture is so smooth it feels illegalβ€”like it was churned by angels who take their job very seriously. And the flavor? Absolutely unhinged in the best way possible. It doesn’t just taste goodβ€”it announces itself. Every bite is rich, bold, and perfectly balanced, like a symphony where every note hits exactly right. You don’t just taste itβ€”you experience it on a spiritual level. At one point I genuinely had to stop and reflect on my life choices because nothing I’ve ever eaten has deserved this much respect. Let’s talk about the melt. Oh, the melt. It doesn’t just turn into a puddleβ€”it transforms into this luxurious, velvety situation that somehow makes you want to drink it straight. Zero iciness. Zero shortcuts. Just pure, unapologetic perfection. The staff? Legends. Absolute icons. They hand you your scoop like they know they’re about to change your entire dayβ€”and they’re right. Final verdict: 1

Beware gluten-free mislabeling! This creamery is adorable and caters to dairy-free and vegan patrons, so people trust them to be accurate about allergy labeling. Unfortunately they have labeled these cones as gluten-free even though the ingredients clearly state "wheat flour" and "barley flour" which are both glutenous grains. As someone with Celiac disease, I know first hand how dangerous and harmful mistakes like this can be. A staff member was alerted but seemed to shrug it off, so please be careful, everyone. I hope Sweet Rose Creamery can see this review and make necessary changes to these dangerous labels.

This was our first time at Sweet Rose Creamery after we had just gotten lunch at a nearby restaurant and wanted a little treat. We were definitely not disappointed in coming here, as every flavor wowed us. The mint chip and coffee ice creams are must-try’s! The blueberry muffin and peach cobbler are also very good but seasonal flavors. Service was spectacular as well. Sarah was so kind about offering different samples and giving recommendations depending on taste preferences. She explained that everything is made in-store and emphasized the quality of the ingredients used. Will definitely be back to try new flavors and because of her great service!

THE best ice cream in LA. I love how seasonal they keep their flavors. You can tell from each bite how high quality the ingredients are that they use. Every flavor is always so creamy and flavorful, but it’ll never make you feel icky after eating it! I also am celiac and have never had a reaction after eating here :)
